Certification according to EN ISO 3834 provides independent recognition of the Welding Management System implemented by the manufacturer and a demonstration of their commitment to deliver quality welded products.
In the certification process according to EN ISO 3834, ZAVOD-CERT determines and confirms the ability to perform welding works in companies where welding is one of the main production activities. Assessment and certification are required because welding is a „special process“, therefore assessment of all activities related to welding, as well as operations in the welding process introduced by the manufacturer in order to achieve the required welding quality, requires special expertise of the assessment team.
The primary objective of certification according to EN ISO 3834 is to ensure that manufacturers are competent and carry out adequate control of the „special process“ – welding, so that customers and other interested parties can have confidence that the welded products that are being produced will comply with the requirements of the contract and/ or appropriate regulations.
If the Management of Welding Production Processes is in accordance with the requirements of the EN ISO 3834 standard, it is considered that the quality of the welding joints of the final product will meet the specified criteria.
