The Welding Institute is an authorized training center for personnel for the Republic of Serbia according to the requirements established by the rules of IIW and the standard SRPS ISO 14731-Welding coordination personnel (tasks and responsibilities).
The Welding Institute is the first ATB (Authorised National Body) in Serbia - an Authorized Body for the education of welding personnel.
In accordance with the education program of the International Institute of Welding in Paris (IIW), the Institute organizes diploma courses, which are recognized worldwide:

ATB Zavod za zavarivanje d.o.o. Belgrade (i.e. Welding Institute) intends to organize a course for international welding engineers and technologists in Banja Luka after approval by DUZS-CertPers. The condition for the course to take place is a sufficient number of participants.

In 2023 and 2024, the Institute is educating the 91st generation of participants, i.e. the 25th standard course is being conducted in compliance with the requirements established by the rules of the IIW (International Institute of Welding) and under the supervision of the only ANB (Authorized National Body) - DUZS CertPers.
For more than six decades, the Welding Institute has been training welders for all conventional welding procedures (MMA, TIG, MIG, MAG, Gas) on sheets and pipes made of different material qualities.
The Institute organizes courses for training and certification of NDT personnel according to SRPS EN ISO 9712, for the following test methods:
